Photojournalism ethical

this one i think is the most unethical if there campus is so diverse then they should be able to find a picture of a black guy thats not smoking cra... i mean uhh . enjoying him self with some nice wholesome white boys.

this one is the most ethical it dosnt really lie it tells the truth they just moved a prymid over to accomodate there cover. i dont think its wrong in any way.

SUGAR HILL GANG!

A. What skills in addition to photography did Melanie Burford utilize to produce this slideshow? She used multimedia to make it more emotional. The woman singing in the background and hearing what these people have to say along with the pictures of their homes and life.

B. What was the effect (added power or meaning) of the multimedia effects of the slideshow. The peoples stories. Hearing the pain and emotion in their voices make it more meaningful.I think that the interactive map is one of the most interesting features on there because you get a visual of how things are set up and peoples opinions on the complex.

SI.com

15mm focal length
1/1600 shutter speed
it stops the motion of the cars
f/2.8 aperature
because of the low aperature it still captured everything because of how dark it is and it also let in the light from the sunset

9/11 comp

this picture i think is very good it follows the thirds rule. and you know that the helicopter is the main focus and the some and pentagon just adds to it while the smoke makes it a little more simple blocking out the sky deffinatly my fav... even tho a jet didnt crash into that building in the background >.<

this is dramatically perfect it shows the victim falling along in the direction of the lines. its simple in the way that all you see is building and the main point the jumper.
this one is nice because the light reflecting off the building with the soldier walking down the street as if he's going to war or coming home but its very busy.

i put this in here because this guys a purebred Douchebag

i hate this picture and its very bad it kinda has lines but its too busy even tho the idiot in the photo dosnt seem to be doing anything.

this ones nice it follows the thirds rule and has a message while being very simple.

but bush couldnt find him if it wanted to

enlarging a photo

we first chose witch negitive to develop then we made sure it didnt have water drops on it then we cleaned it if it did. we dipped it in foto flow cleaner for 15 seconds then dried it with special towel. then we put it in the machine and focus and enlarge it then we got a test strip and we exposed the paper in segments so some got more light than others so we could find how many seconds was perfect then we do it again for the right amount of seconds directly on the paper

i really like the photo above its very famous and ive

Thursday, September 27, 2007

the photo 19.its 2 people holding hands it looks very dramatic. it fills the frame nicely and i like the way its focused perfectly on the two hands as if there friendship is more important than anything else. even tho thats not the case

and photo 3. its pretty much amazing it has graffiti and vines. me and my girlfriend walked deep into the woods on this track to find this graffiti and it was a very majestic setting very calm. like everything around was dead. i think i captured that the photo

i like the way this ones composed it has the lonely responsible girl working away on her work while every ones talking and playing around i really like it. it definitely should have won for best story the one they chose, i think doesn't have the story backing it enough to take first

super contest chair winner

this picture is really cool i like what they did with the long shutter speed and the lights highlighting the chair. it makes me happy

Pinhole photolism

this one straight sucks. it has no charateristics that i like i hate it

i really love this picture its really buetiful how the yellow stands out in the flower and the light rays beam through i really like it.the light makes it slightly mistical.

this picture really captures my attention because the center of focus is so clear. theres trees all around and they seem to open up to the building. the building reaches into the sky behind the trees yet still infront. its from a chinese man named zhan zhou.

photos to critique

i like this picture alot it's really natural i feels compleatly candid and the frame is filled just enough that the background dosnt distract you and you know exactly what your looking at. and the background is not conflicting with her.
i Really dont like this picture it dosnt look like hes posing but it does look that hes very awared of the camera. also the frame hasnt been filled and theres alot of open space thats just kinda sitting there not really being "eye catching" but this picture might have been better if the photographer turned it horizontal and zoomed in a tad bit.
